Truckee Donner Land Trust

A nonprofit organization

$12,455 raised by 23 donors

The Truckee Donner Land Trust's mission is to preserve and protect scenic, historic and recreational lands with high natural resource values in the greater Truckee Donner region, and manage recreational activities on these lands in a sustainable manner.

Since 1990, the Truckee Donner Land Trust has preserved more than 40,000 acres in the area - opening these wild places to the public, protecting critical habitat, and preserving the character of our mountain community.

Here's what the region looked like before the Land Trust, and what it looks like today.

None of this would be possible without your support. As the acreage the Land Trust protects continues to grow, so do our responsibilities to steward and maintain those lands to ensure they're around for future generations to enjoy. From trail building to forestry projects - our work grows every day.
