Chambers Landing Bar & Grill is the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe and is now under new management! Established in 1875, the rustic charm of the pier bar serves as a staple to many locals and visitors alike. Try our signature fruity frozen rum cocktail, the Chambers Crush. Join us for an upscale lakefront open air dining experience for lunch and dinner! Our cuisine is Island American fusion, with a twist. Be sure to try the kalua pork bahn mi, chambers burger, or fish & chips at lunch time. Join us for dinner and be pleased with the misoyaki atlantic salmon, tomahawk tork chop, or the filet mignon. We also offer dockside dining at the famous pier bar, where you can order fresh poke bowls all day long. We have ample boat parking and boat valets ready to assist you upon your lakeside arrival. For those driving here, parking is situated a few hundred feet away from the restaurant. Just follow the signs and enjoy the lakeside ambiance!

Love this place for apps, drinks or an occasional dinner. Parking is scarce so walk in if you are worried about space.
The setting is gorgeous, they have a casual dockside bar and an indoor outdoor restaurant that has local lakeside fare. This is old school Tahoe with lots of history and people have been coming here for
years. I enjoy less people than Tahoe city .....make a reservationHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 3203041582Jul 22, 2023
Under new management. Same great service, great food, great drinks, breathtaking views.
Sorry to hear that the Mexican style street corn and turkey corn are longer on the menu. They were delicious. Bring it back!
Enjoyed the bahn mi sandwich and cold wine.
Cocktails look amazing!
Great service! Katie and Chris are the best!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 26, 2023
Flippin' bomb diggity! We rode our bikes from Tahoe City down to Meeks Bay then stopped here on the way back to Tahoe City. The time of day was around 6 p.m. so the sun was still high with a stunning reflection on the water and the most perfect temperature outside. We enjoyed two Chambers Punches (AKA: Wet Woody or Rum Runner) on the dock at a table with gorgeous views and nice conversation with the guy who drives people out to their boats. In my opinion, the Chambers Punch outdoes the two competing cocktails around the lake. I could have sat there for 12 more hours, it was so amazing. I will definitely make this a stop every time I ride by :)

Can't beat the view! Hence the 3 stars...would be two or less without...
Prices have gotten out of control, and I can somewhat appreciate inflation, but $10 for a small bowl of Kraft Mac'n'Cheese is a joke!
Plus no Chambers Punch!
New owners need to do better...Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 22, 2023Updated review
Love the recent improvements! The outdoor bar helps speed up the wait inside. The new chambers crush is even better than the old punch! New seating is very nice as well! The bar staff seem very friendly and happy. Overall love the upgrades for the bar!

Signs of the Lake Tahoe's popularity are evident all around its tree-lined shores. Lake Tahoe is a place where outdoor recreation and urbanite experiences merge. Even if it didn't have a view, Chambers Landing Bar and Grille would still be a go to dining experience in Lake Tahoe.
The dining room is ensures that every table enjoys a panoramic vista of the mountains and Lake Tahoe through floor-to-ceiling windows. The small menu is less impressive but has some gems. The nation has been salading incorrectly for far too long, and its time someone did something about it. CLB&G salads have become a reflection of California's culinary trends.
Chicken is simple meat to cook, but it's also fairly easy to screw up. We can't all be master chefs, but that doesn't mean you have to chicken out on cooking poultry. There's no doubt that our chicken was served cold and rubbery. CLB &G's chef sucked the moisture right out and left us with a dry, rubbery bird. Adding a creamy curry did not save the dish.

At a time when increased competition in the restaurant industry is putting greater emphasis on guest retention, minding all the small details of a restaurant has become a big part the dining experience. Serving a hot dish cold and not replacing with a proper meal is an amature fail.
It is an indisputed fact, that excellent customer service is a must for any restaurant and if your restaurant fails to provide reliable customer service there might be a possibility that it will lose out on valuable customers such as myself.
Chambers Landing Bar and Grille needs to ensure that each of its staff members undergoes the required training and is aware of the expectations that customers expect.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Liquid J, we are sorry to hear about this experience. Our bar is definitely a great part of our establishment! We will bring this to their attention and make sure it doesn’t happen again!
Aug 13, 2022Previous reviewChamberbers landing needs to land on earth. The bartenders here are from another planet.
The most powerful and influential component in your establishment is your bar. Ultimately, the bartenders are the face of your business and are the primary interfaces between your establishment and it's most important asset: customers.
The wave of tropical cocktails still draws plenty of inspiration from the sense of escape and lush flavors that tiki has long been known for. Chambers landing knows this and serves up a popular tropical drink ( Chambers Punch) to the throngs of Reno tourists trying to escape their lives by guzzling cup after cup of this suger bomb. At $15 a shot, you will be well on the way to an alcohol laced sugar high.
Is there another whiskey drink more satisfying than the Old Fashioned? 1 Spirit, sugar, water, and bitters--this is the technical definition of this cocktail. It's one of its most wonderful, versatile drinks that you can make an impressive version of it anywhere at anytime...except here. With the Old Fashioned, it always depends on what you're using as your sugar source and how much. At Chambers Landing, the bartenders think sweet and sour mix should suffice. Nothing wrong with a bourbon sour, mind you, but this is such a amateur fail that I will subtract 1star.
A friend in our party asked for a Lemon Drop. Again, not rocket science. The Lemon Drop cocktail is vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and simple syrup that is shaken and poured into a sugar-rimmed martini glass. Not here, But what makes one bar or bartender better than another? The quality of drinks they pour. At Chambers Landing, two failed drinks in one order left a sour taste in our mouths.
Minus 1 star.
As a member of the Chamberlands Homeowners Association for 36 yrs I have become accustomed to a level of service and accomodation that I am not seeing today. Application of rules on the pier are not equal. Some customers eat and drink items brought from home without consequence while others are told no outside food or drinks allowed.
Restaurant managers and staff should be generally knowledgeable and have positive attitudes about accommodating customers. Watching staff picking and choosing who gets to bring food and drinks and who does not does not bode well with this member. Minus 1 star.
If your idea of a Lake Tahoe good time is watching tourists get drunk on frosted, blended drinks...line up and watch The Mississippi of the West's backwards flat-brimmed-cap wearing tattooed bros exit their lifted trucks and proudly display their expanding bellies at Chambers Landing Bar on the pier. - Jun 30, 2023
If I could give this place 10 star I would! The food was amazing and the view was breathtaking. We really loved the service and the staff. We had such an amazing time at this restaurant and we will for sure be back. The only difficulty is the parking and the walk but it wasn't that bad after all.

My husband wanted to go here and I was excited until I read the prior reviews.
But then we got there and I cannot tell you how glad I am that I came here! The food was good, the ambiance was fabulous and the service was probably one of the highlights of the entire dinner.
We shared the shrimp appetizer which had a mango salsa and some daikon radish to go with it 10/10. I hate old oil and poorly fried items and this did not disappoint.
I also got the pork chop 9/10 - I loved everything it was amazing. The bok choy and pork chop were cooked perfectly!
My husband got the burger and he loved it 10/10.
We shared the mango cheesecake 10/10 and mud pie 10/10.
We had reservations at 5:00pm, we left with ample time to wait for parking and we quickly got a good spot. My advice is to get there early so that you can get a parking space.
We had Cassie as our waitress and she was one of the best I've ever had!!!
We will return, I will get the chicken curry next time and I will try the shortcake if it is still on the menu.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 30, 2023
My sister and I were in town last week, so we stopped in for an early dinner. We started out with Aperol Spritz drink $19, and a Pain Killer drink $16, which were both delicious! We shared an order of Coconut Shrimp $19 & Deep Fried Zucchini $16. Everything was yummy, and we even had a nice table inside above other tables, so we managed to still have a nice view of the lake.

5% service charge???? After paying fairly high prices for pretty good food we got the bill and it had a 5% service fee. We asked our waiter what this was he said he didn't know and none of the staff liked the charge and couldn't explain why it was there. Just that the owners charge that at their other restaurants in South Shore.
I get supply and demand but don't sucker punch me after a meal. It leaves a very bad taste in my mouth.
Born and raised up here probably won't be going back to dinner here, plenty of other options at this price range.
This new owners are going to find it hard to keep customers. It would be way better to add a dollar to each meal and save the heartache of the 5%.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 3
